Kit’s official Help documentation describes a free Newsletter Plan for up to 10,000 active, unique subscribers, while the current pricing page shows a 1,000-subscriber free tier. Treat the limit as unresolved until you recheck the live plan and account UI.
What the official pages currently say
The Help page lists unlimited forms and landing pages, unlimited sends, a newsletter feed and mini-site, digital products and subscriptions, and one basic visual automation with one email sequence. The current pricing page presents a different free subscriber ceiling, so this page does not publish a single numeric limit as settled fact.
Important free-plan boundary
The same document says one Kit-managed Recommendation slot is enabled on the free plan and that paid recommendation earnings generated from that slot go to Kit. That is a product condition, not a footnote to hide.
A good fit for
A consultant with a lead magnet and a short welcome sequence, an educator selling a workshop or course, or an author who wants a direct audience layer around products. If you need several branching workflows, integrations, or advanced reporting, put the paid-plan boundary in your budget now and verify the current free tier first.
Use this checklist
- Create one form and one landing page.
- Build one welcome sequence using test addresses you control.
- Confirm the Recommendation slot and free-plan branding.
- Export a test list before importing anything real.
